USB-C or MagSafe is not charging my MacBook. How do I tell whether it is the charger, port, or battery?

أيوه، وكلها احتمالات مختلفة. بنفصل مصدر الطاقة والكابل والمنفذ والبطارية أولًا، وبعدها ننتقل لدائرة الشحن أو الـLogic Board لو الاختبارات الخارجية سليمة ومازال الجهاز لا يشحن طبيعيًا.

Can a MacBook charging fault come from the charger, cable, USB-C/MagSafe port, or charging circuit?
Yes. These are separate possibilities. Isolate the adapter, cable, port, and battery first; only then move to charging-circuit or logic-board diagnosis if the external charging components test correctly and charging remains abnormal.

My MacBook does not recognize the charger or says Not Charging. What should I do?
Confirm the adapter wattage is suitable for the model and that the cable supports the required charging, inspect the port externally without metal tools, and test a known-good port/charger. Battery Health or optimized charging can also affect behavior; persistent non-recognition needs port and charging-path diagnostics.

Charging cuts in and out or only works when I move the cable. Is the port faulty?
It can be the cable, connector, contamination/wear in the port, or an internal path. If the problem repeats with known-good accessories on one port, that port becomes more suspicious; if it happens on every port, expand diagnosis to the charging path.

My MacBook detects the adapter but says Not Charging. Is the charger faulty?
Not necessarily. macOS can pause charging for battery management or temperature, and an underpowered adapter/cable can also cause it. Check the battery menu, adapter wattage, temperature, and charge level before deciding the charger is faulty.
