Choose MacBook when the course depends on desktop applications, local coding, specialist plug-ins, complex file workflows or long keyboard sessions. Choose iPad when notes, PDFs, reading, presentations, drawing and Apple Pencil are the main tasks. If one required application is unavailable or limited on iPadOS, do not treat iPad as a complete laptop replacement without verification.
